International School of Kenya
Embarking on a 5 year strategy to double its enrollment, the International School of Kenya requested a Master Plan Vision to expand and modernize its facilities and reimagine all its land holdings. Mr. Steele worked closely with this school to develop curriculaum based spaces that foster collaborative study and hands-on learning, manifesting in several unique structures: The Innovation Commons Building at the crossroads of the campus that unified all grade levels and became the community "heart"; a new elementary school that includes new classrooms, maker spaces, science labs, and large assembly spaces; a new, "open-cencept" Middle School that places emphasis on "education on display", and a new athletic complex that includes 3 gymnasiums designed as part of a holistic student wellness center concept.
