Atlantic City Expressway Toll Plaza
Pleasantville, New Jersey The toll plaza bridge was conceived as a way to increase safety for toll takers, provide a secure route for moving toll collections and provide flexibility for high-speed easy pass toll lanes. The span, created with a prefabricated bow string truss, is 240' wide which covers thirteen lanes, nine of which are manned. Metal panels were used on the exterior skin and roof while cast-in-place concrete circulation towers at either end provide an anchor for the structure. The bridge was completed in 2004.
