The Project

As the architect of record, SOSH Architects—collaborating with the visionary water park designers Martin Aquatic and the innovative glass structure experts at OpenAire—partnered with Tower Investments to create Atlantic City’s first-ever year-round family entertainment destination at the iconic Showboat hotel. This ambitious water park development project encompassed a sprawling 100,000 sq. ft. indoor water park, seamlessly integrated with the existing Showboat property. The project also involved a comprehensive renovation of the existing interior, transforming approximately 30,000 sq. ft. into a vibrant Family Entertainment Center. The water park itself was designed as a state-of-the-art prefabricated structure, housing an array of attractions including thrilling water slides, serene pools, a meandering lazy river, and a dynamic flow rider. The facility also features a variety of food and beverage outlets, modern locker rooms, and essential back-of-house spaces. To elevate the guest experience, the design incorporated luxurious services such as towel rental, private cabanas, a dedicated party room, and even a sophisticated nightclub, making it a premier destination for entertainment in Atlantic City.
