The Project

As the first retail branch location in the Philadelphia market, the project team took the client’s “superbranch” concept and applied it to a smaller urban tenant space located at 1500 Market Street, in the heart of Center City. The design intent was to create a unique consumer environment which distinguishes itself from the traditional bank branch and simultaneously attracts the attention of costumers. The design layout created a centrally located office with functional entities placed along the perimeter which allows for an open common area within the small-scale space. The oval shaped ceiling feature, organic form of the reception desk, and translucent partitions are integrated into the aesthetics and usability of the interior to bring the space to life. The latest superbranch includes new banker stations, conference room and office, nest egg, coin count and ITM machine, and back of house space with kitchenette. A simple and definitive design with a balanced use of contemporary materials follow the look and feel of other recently renovated retail locations to enhance and reinforce the client’s brand identity.
