Scioto Downs Grandstand Renovation

The Project

The design and construction of a modern, tiered, open yet covered seating area aimed to replace the structurally deficient circa 1958 Grandstand. The objective encompassed retaining the casino license issued on the existing racetrack while introducing enhanced amenities and racetrack support. Within the new 750-seat building, a concession stand featuring a complete bar enriches the overall spectator experience. Meeting the campus's demand for additional meeting space, two VIP multipurpose meeting rooms were incorporated. The structure's ground floor provides crucial warehouse space, contributing to the efficient functionality of both the building and campus. On the second floor, state-of-the-art racetrack support spaces were integrated to ensure the facility adhered to modern standards. This undertaking not only addressed the structural deficiencies of the original Grandstand but also elevated the campus with versatile meeting facilities and upgraded amenities, aligning with contemporary expectations.
