Project: Boardwalk Hall Restroom Renovations
Location: Atlantic City, NJ
Size: 3,460 sq. ft.
Completed: 2017
The bathroom renovation project includes the revamp of eight restrooms on the first and second floors of the nearly 90-year-old historic Boardwalk Hall. The renovation project replaced all plumbing, electrical wiring, and various other systems and infrastructure for the restrooms; which hadn’t been used in decades. In addition, the bathrooms received new fixtures throughout and was designed to reflect the historical nature of the building, which opened in 1929. The design team used Carrara marble on the floors and green and brown accents on the walls to accentuate the period of the late 1920s and early 1930s, when Boardwalk Hall first opened to the public.
