Water Dog Smoke House at Bally’s

The Project

Inspired by the existing brand and its origins, the design for Water Dog Smoke House’s second location at Bally’s Atlantic City expands upon rustic, reclaimed wood elements of its original downbeach location and incorporates a softer, lighter, and fresher palate to pay tribute to its coastal setting. The new venue includes a bar, grab n’ go, and dining area with a private dining room. The space features the key brand color of orange, natural woods and fresh plants juxtaposed with modern industrial elements and houndstooth fabric, to honor the restaurant’s muse, Betty—a Portuguese Water Dog. Although the new space is a larger venue, the design is intended to create a community feel and focus by using images of local dogs and tying the two locations together through brand design.
